Gargoyle

I completed this, texturing gel and all, in one afternoon! My best friend was quite drawn to a particular picture of a certain gargoyle and not for any particular reason either. I gladly re-interpreted the picture for her with a lot of texture to create a strong stone effect. I believe gargoyles are meant to protect buildings from evil forces - so my friend is now well looked after by this one!
Acryllic on a black 9" x 9" deep edge stretched canvas. July 2008.
In the private collection of Kerry Geddes
